EXAMINATION RULES TO BE READ TO THE CANDIDATES BY THE SENIOR INVIGILATOR

1. Inform candidates that they are now subject to the regulations for the examination.
2. If anyone has brought to the examination room any bags, spectacle cases, cigarette boxes, match boxes, pencil cases of any description, manuscript, books, paper, blotting paper, computerised watches or other electronic accessories, they must now give them up to me and place them on the table provided at the front of the examination room.
3. If any materials printed, manuscript or otherwise of assistance to the candidate in respect of any part of the examination are found in his/her possession, it will be assumed that they have been brought in from outside.
4. You must sign the Attendance Sheet.
5. Your attention is drawn to the instructions stated on the question paper before answering the questions.
6. Any rough work must be done on the examination paper provided, and then crossed through, to show that it is not part of the answers. However all paper used (even rough work) must be included in the candidates envelope at the end of the exam.
7. You must not speak to or have any communication with any other candidate. If you wish to ask a question, you should raise your hand.
8. No explanation of the meaning of an exam question can be given.
9. You will not be allowed to leave the examination room during either the first or the last 30 minutes of the examination.
10. If you complete your work before time and wish to leave the exam, you should assemble all your papers into order and put them into the envelope provided (which you should then seal); then leave them on the desk, and leave the room quietly.
11. Your answer book and all papers issued to you for this examination, and your Place Card, will be collected, in the envelope provided, at the end of the time allowed. No papers may be removed from the Examination Room. 
12. Any attempt to cheat, obtain unfair advantage by any means, cause a disadvantage to any other person, disrupt or otherwise interfere with the proper conduct of this exam will be punishable by disqualification, not just for the paper in respect of which the offence was committed, but from the entire examination.
13. Any action by a candidate contrary to the letter or spirit of these rules, whether discovered during the exam or afterwards, will disqualify that candidate.
14. Each candidate is deemed to have both understood and accepted the examination regulations as now read to you.
