The Diploma Examinations are held twice per year usually in May and November at most of the mainland colleges.

The colleges are:

• The School of Farriery, Hereford
• Warwickshire College
• Myerscough College, and
• Enniskillen College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise, Northern Ireland

• Oatridge College ceased farriery training in 2008.
